Norbert Wiener, el padre de la cibernética, acuñó el término en su libro el control y comunicación en animales y máquinas, publicado en 1948 …tenía en claro que la comunicación era el cemento de la sociedad, que corría entre los hombres y las máquinas y que, a la espera de un futuro en el que se podrían "telegrafiar los cuerpos y las almas", había que alentar la emisión y recepción de mensajes de todo tipo combatiendo el secreto. No existía en su tiempo Internet, mucho menos los teléfonos celulares. Era preciso liberar a la comunicación de las limitaciones de lo humano y volverla maquínica, y desde allí también viviente, como cuenta la biología molecular. La idea de que todo procesa información rompe con la distinción entre materia y espíritu y funde el lenguaje con la vida y con el pensamiento en tanto fenómenos de comunicación. Algunas polémicas filosóficas respecto del humanismo, que llevan por lo menos medio siglo y ya están tomando olor a naftalina, apuntan a esta cuestión sin conocer del todo la fuerza de la cibernética en el Arte. En esta Muestra en una primera instancia es reconocer artistas de latinoamérica que trabajan en ese telegrafiar los cuerpos y las almas, con su sonido, con su oscilación de una nota que se acerca o se aleja de lo musical pero que mantiene su poder en lo energético y sonoro. ROMA proposes a space without time, a future built upon ruins of an aural past where all its sonic elements are reused and organized into a new scene that challenges our perception of time, space and every order within it. And where sampling and sound libraries are like huge archives of sonic information where we perform an archaeology of consumption, production and attention. ROMA was originally composed for a 3D surround sound system using exclusively sound libraries. Parlamento is an autonomous sound installation and instrument. It consists of a system of sound generators such as tape players, samplers, noise generators and loopers. Each of these generators has an independent loudspeaker. The temporal development of these sounds generates a dynamic texture that develops in time mutating in form. Precurso Instalativo Sonoro is a process of the expanded sound research that creates a correlation between sounds, landscapes and images of urbe; historical memory; changes in space-time; contemporary social and emotional relationships; fictional / real characters and spatialized sounds that make up scenarios and everyday narratives, and the metropolis and its relations as a research object, sound creation and visual perceptual sensuousness. Each visual and audible report aims to understand the urban restructurings constants that the city suffers its contemporary process, such as: urban verticalization by property speculative processes; the depreciation of the historical heritage and causing a re- signification of public urban spaces.
